RIP John Hughes..
John Hughes had a fatal heart attack in NY today.

If you ain't knowin, just look at a sampling of his IMDB page (either wrote or directed or both)...

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
Home Alone
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Uncle Buck
The Great Outdoors
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Weird Science
National Lampoon's European Vacation
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
National Lampoon's Vacation..

Cripes! This guy was responsible for pretty much the vast majority of our childhood moviegoing experiences.

Rest In Peace.

Oh shit!

...to quote Principal Richard "Dick" Vernon from The Breakfast Club:

"I would have expected more from varsity."

RIP Hughes.

horrible

I'm really sad about John Hughes dying.

I think I dropped a Planes, Trains... quote here the other week. He created an era of iconic comedy. RIP.

Bueller..Bueller..Bueller..

Check this out :
Quote:There's Probably No Better Remembrance Of John Hughes Than This...

Merrick here...
...with a link to a very touching story which, in itself, sounds like it could be a John Hughes film. It's about how Hughes' work irrevocably touched one girl's life, and how his protracted correspondence with her helped shape the person she is today.

It's pretty powerful, rather thought provoking, and says a lot about the man we lost yesterday.
