I figure it was much worse during the civil war and way worse for during slavery. The Great Depression also seems like it was much worse time as well as both World Wars. The hyper inflation of the late 70's. Even the crack and hiv/aids epedemics of the 80's and 90's seem much, much worse than anything that is happening now. Overall crime rates are at their lowest levels, people are fatter than ever, and racism and homophobia are all on the downturn. Interest rates are still at historical lows and same with taxes thanks to the Bush tax cuts. Illegal wars, deficit spending, corrupt government, and spying on allies have been happening since the 70's. Where have you been? Did you just wake up? This have been the state of America for over 40 plus years now.

Are you fucking stoned? Neither World War affected life back home except for rationing and it made unemployment non existent. Racism and homophobia are as rampant - if not more so because of the internet than it has been since the 50's. Tell all the murdered people in Chicago and other cities how low the crime rate is. The Bush tax rates are gone my friend and those of us making low 6 figures are getting raped. More people on unemployment and welfare now than in the depression of the 30's. Many of those on welfare have been on it from cradle to grave. Recent tech has given the U.S. ways of spying on allies that have never been seen before and we are taking full advantage of it. The U.S. is basically beyond repair until the shit hits the fan and the dollar collapses under the weight of U.S. debt. The destructive path the U.S. is on is unstoppable. Debt is growing faster than ever and Obamacare is going to exacerbate the problem by killing the economy and increasing government spending at the same time. Interest rates will rise when the federal reserve becomes the only buyer of U.S. debt under that fucking moron Janet Yellen.
